Strength Training
Regardless of the sport you’re competing in, a well planned, specific strength programme is vital. Through decades of scientific research it is now fully understood the role strength training can play, and how it can enhance performance in all sports. The key to an effective strength training programme is to address the weaknesses and develop the potential of the athlete, whilst creating improved movement patterns specific to the sport. This is an area I specialise in, and I’ve been fortunate to work a wide range of individuals, from elite dancers to horse riders. Cardiovascular and muscular systems The key to developing a good strength program is to understand the unique relationship every athlete has with their cardiovascular and muscular system. This is where I also specialise. |
Scientific Analysis
The best way to develop a specific strength programme is to use video and photo analysis. Through this detailed analysis the athlete will also be able to understand the programme and what’s required to improve, as well as building a good reference point to lack back on. I also use medical standard body fat and body composition testing to measure progress and create detailed goals for the future. |
Providing a program unique to the athlete
I offer training face to face but I’m also used to working successfully with elite or amateur athlete remotely. I am also used to collaborating with other coaches, developing good communication, respecting their philosophy and making sure that the training I prescribe enhances the overall programme. |
